The InStep Icebreaker Indoor Marathon & Half Marathon is making a return appearance this winter to the Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee. The event will be held January 21-23, 2011 and is sponsored by InStep Running & Walking Centers.
There is now a race for everyone; not just marathon runners. New for 2011 is a Friday Night 5K race on January 21, which will join the Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay to make up a full weekend of exciting indoor running events. The Half Marathon and Marathon Relay will take place on Saturday, January 22; the Marathon will take place on Sunday, January 23. This also includes the Gold Medal challenge, which is for runners who are daring enough to run both the half marathon and marathon. Finishers will receive a Gold Medal for completing both races. In keeping with the Olympic theme, finishers of the marathon will receive a Silver Medal, and finishers of the half marathon will receive a Bronze Medal.
